ILAC-MRA Accreditation Report

ILAC-MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement) is the abbreviation of the International Laboratory Accreditation Service, which is an international mutual recognition mark. Inspection results with this mark can be recognized by 56 laboratory accreditation bodies in 46 economies around the world. The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) is a non-governmental organization with the ILAC Secretariat as its permanent institution located in Australia.

Its purpose is to eliminate technical trade barriers and promote international cooperation in international trade by increasing the acceptance of testing and calibration results issued by accredited laboratories. As of December 12, 2008, 62 laboratory accreditation bodies from 48 economies internationally have signed ILAC mutual recognition agreements. The identification certificate with this symbol can be mutually recognized internationally, and the identification results can be recognized by countries such as the United States, Japan, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

The China National Accreditation Service for Laboratories (CNAL) signed the Multilateral Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC-MRA) with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) on January 31, 2001, and obtained approval from ILAC in January 2005 to use the ILAC-MRA international recognition mark. This indicates that testing laboratories accredited by CNAL can use both the CNAL mark and the ILAC-MRA mark in their testing reports. CNAL has now been merged and changed to CNAS.
